It's Make a Demo Disk time!

Several of you have suggested that we should begin by making a Demo Disk. You've described how this disk becomes the calling-card for the project: a real-world sample radio show, as if it were one of the PeaceIsPossibleRadio series itself.

With this demo disk we can: recruit volunteers (sam), verify distribution channels (npr, university fm radio stations, web streaming radio and downloads), and test the format and production logistics.

SO!

Objective: produce a 28-min demo disk.

What needed:
  1. project manager - keep us on track
  2. team communicator - keep us informed
  3. music junkie - find us the best few tracks which can be used for this episode
  4. quote junkie - find us the best few quotes that match the theme of this episode
  5. DJ - the on-air person(s): the "voice", the "personality"
  6. writers - small team who write scripts and 'storyboard' the episode
  7. editor and techie - assemble the show into 28 minutes
  8. experienced overlord - consultant who has radio production experience to guide us
Qualifications:
  1. a "just do it" attitude
  2. commitment to enjoyment
  3. accountable to deliver your part over a 30 day period
How to offer to help:

Use "Comment" below to offer which of these roles you could help with.
If none of these roles are for you, pass this on to someone who might want to jump in.

This isn't a commitment yet! We will start with a conference call on the phone or Skype and then decide on an on-line workspace.

Feel free just to call or txt me too! LA time zone: Kirk at +1 818.414.0866.

Yes! Let's DO this!

  1. Hey Kirk,
Any idea what sort of commitment of time the commitment to do my part might entail if I volunteered myself to project manage this beast?
